    Cooking Instructions

    A ground beef alternative for burgers, meatloaf, sloppy joes, chili con carne, shepherd’s pie and more.
    • In a medium bowl, add 3/4 cup warm water to 10 oz. package and mix until all ingredients are moist.
    • Let rest for about 10 minutes, or overnight, refrigerated.
    • Form four patties, about ½ cup each.
    • Place the patties on a hot grill or pan. Immediately turn the heat down to medium and sear each side for about two minutes. On low heat, cover and cook for about six minutes on each side. Alternatively, place the patties on a hot grill or pan. Immediately turn the heat down to medium and sear each side for about two minutes. Place in 300-degree oven for about 15 minutes to cook thoroughly.
    • Serve with your favourite condiments.

    If not making patties, prepare as directed for steps 1 and 2. Then heat 1-2 tablespoons oil in a 10-inch skillet. Add moist mix and cook over medium-high heat for 7-10 minutes, stirring frequently until browned and crumbled.
